The main entrance leads directly onto the foyer space. The foyer is the main organising space in the building and is arranged over three levels with an interconnecting open void through which light spills from the roof. The void has a series of sweeping stairways to invite patrons to the upper levels. This is the focus of the building with spaces opening directly off this central node.

Whilst the foyer space is primarily a front of house space for patrons before, during intervals and after performances it can also be used itself for social events, launches and as an exhibition space/art gallery.

On entering the foyer at ground level, the Box Office, cloakroom, toilets and Café Bar are easily accessible.

From the foyer at ground level, you can gain entry to the three main auditoria directly: Mahony Hall, The Theatre and The Space.

From the upper levels of the foyer, there are entrances to the upper levels and balconies of the three spaces. A lift is centrally situated in the space linking all the floors.

There is a second bar at second floor level offering an alternative for interval and post event refreshments.

The Gallery and administrative offices are accessed off the foyer at the second floor level.

The services, backstage and ancillary areas are located in a linear service block to the back of the building, which helps to contain the "back of house" activity away from the public "front of house" areas.

Plantrooms are generally located at basement level under the foyer to avoid noise transfer to the performance spaces.
