A. Purchase vouchers

1) How do I purchase a gift voucher?

Gift vouchers can be purchased in person at The Helix Box Office and over the phone 01 700 7000 during Box Office opening hours.

2) Is there a specific amount of money I can buy vouchers for?

Gift vouchers bought in person or over the phone can be purchased up to any amount from €1 onwards.

3) Do booking fees apply when buying a gift voucher?

Booking Fees do not apply when buying a gift voucher. However, there is a booking fee of €1 per ticket when booking a show, whether using the gift voucher or not.

For customer’s safety purposes, a posting fee of €5.25 may be charged if the gift voucher exceeds €150.

B. Delivery

1) How will gift vouchers be delivered?

If bought in person, the vouchers will be handed to the buyer at the moment of purchase. If bought over the telephone, the vouchers will be sent by post to the address given by the buyer. All efforts will be made to deliver the vouchers as soon as possible.

2) Is there a special fee for delivery of the gift voucher?

Gift vouchers can be posted out to any address within the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

For customer’s safety purposes, a posting fee of €5.25 may be charged if the gift voucher exceeds €150.

C. Validity

1) How long are the gift vouchers valid for?

The gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase date, which is printed on the voucher. Gift vouchers cannot be accepted after the 12 months expire.

D. Use of gift vouchers

1) How can a show be purchased using the voucher?

Show tickets can be purchased in person handing in the gift voucher in the Box Office. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone with a gift voucher. In this case, the tickets will be reserved and given to the buyer on the night of the show upon exchange of the gift voucher. Tickets cannot be purchased online with gift vouchers.

2) What happens if the price of the ticket exceeds the amount of the gift voucher?

Gift vouchers may be exchanged for tickets of a higher value than the gift voucher, on payment of the difference. If the tickets are being purchased in person, the difference can be paid in cash, by cheque (payable to The Helix), by credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard and Laser). If purchasing a show over the phone, the difference may be paid by credit card. Tickets cannot be purchased online with gift vouchers.

3) What happens if the price of the ticket is of a lower value than the gift voucher?

If the tickets are cheaper than the value of the gift voucher, change will be given in gift vouchers. Change will only be given in person, when collecting the tickets upon exchange of the gift voucher.

4) Can the gift vouchers be used in the shop or the bar?

Gift vouchers can only be used for purchasing show tickets in The Helix for public shows sold through box office.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue, which is printed on the voucher.

2. Gift vouchers cannot be accepted after the 12 months expires.

3. The Helix will not accept any responsibility for gift vouchers that are lost, stolen or damaged.

4. Gift vouchers may be exchanged for tickets for performances at The Helix only. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. Gift vouchers may be exchanged for tickets of a higher value than the Gift voucher, on payment of the difference.

6. Gift vouchers can be exchanged for tickets of a lower value than the gift voucher, change will be given in gift vouchers.

7. Gift vouchers will be subject to verification at time of presentation.

8. Gift vouchers defaced in any way will be invalid.

9. The Helix reserve the right to vary the above terms and conditions.
